Field Notes In Action:

Take a hike

Ewa Powell at Winkbox says:

I don’t know about you, but I’ve long ago given up on finishing a journal. I love to start them, but after about ten pages I start feeling like my sketchbook or journal is turning out lame and I want to start a new one.

But things might be changing for me.

Ewa used FIELD NOTES to document a 5-day 40-mile backpacking trek on the Appalachian Trail through the Smoky Mountains, featuring Cherokees in minivans, bears, and pooping in the woods (thanks to Ewa, we now know FIELD NOTES can serve as makeshift toilet roll.)

The best part? Ewa converted her funny, entertaining, curse-filled journal to a .pdf (with photos). This is the first complete FIELD NOTES travel journal .pdf we’ve seen, but we’d sure love to see more! Take it from Ewa, it’s not hard to fill 48 pages, especially if you use a few pages for personal hygiene.
