Zoe’s “Guide To All Brothers”

December 22nd, 2008 by Bryan Bedell

“If your brother is acting normal, he is probably thinking up a very bothersome plan.”

Geoff says “this artwork shows what an 11-year-old can do on a long drive with pencil, a Field Notes Memo Book and a little creativity:” Zoe’s “Guide to All Brothers.” Awesome.

Retail Additions:

FN retailers dot the globe

December 19th, 2008 by Bryan Bedell

We’ve been busy adding dots to our map of FIELD NOTES retail locations, and we’ve added a new world map to show the spread of the FIELD NOTES empire outside North America.

Please welcome some of our new retailers, near and far:
The Cool Store in New Zealand. (It’s Summer there!)
City’Super in Hong Kong. (Five locations!)
Magma in London. (Two locations!)
Casualpoet in Singapore. (Can I deliver them in person?)
Notre Dame Photo Cage (They don’t have a web site!)
Grand in Somerville, Massachusetts! (That’s outside Boston!)

As always, our full list of 35 North American and 11 worldwide retailers awaits you here. And if you’re into the whole internet thing, you can procure FIELD NOTES right here on our site.

Retailers! Can you imagine the marvelous rush when you see a gleaming white dot representing your establishment on our handsome map? Dream no more, simply Email Michele.

Class Notes

December 16th, 2008 by Bryan Bedell

Our esteemed pal Douglas Wilson of On Paper Wings teaches at Missouri State University. Each fall, he hands out FIELD NOTES to his Advanced Typography students and posts the awesome results on Flickr. The ’08 crop feature the green cutting mat background, ’07 are on the wood grain. Thanks for sharing, Doug!

Products · Vintage Memo Book Archive:

Good Looking Hybrid

December 11th, 2008 by Aaron

Sure, we love old memo books. We like the old type, the aged paper and the ancient handwriting that might populate a page. Ghosts. So many ghosts.

And we also love the somewhat more contemporary examples from the 70s and 80s. Come one, come all. All have a home with Field Notes.

“Trusted Family Seedsmen.” We like the sound of that. Good work if you can get it.

December 2nd, 2008 by Aaron

Our 18-Monther in ReadyMade!

Just in time for the Holiday Rush, our 18-Monther calendar shows up in ReadyMade magazine! We’re in there with some heavy hitters in the calendar world, so, much pride is felt.

There’s only 24 shopping days left, and this amount was totaled up using said calendar, so, you know, it gets the job done. Buy now, and plan up your whole 2009, and first quarter of 2010. Just like that.
