Nothing sells a pocket notebook like a celebrity endorsement, and we’ve garnered a few astounding and unsolicited real endorsements from celebrities (see “reviews,” left). But Nerd Boyfriend does this great thing where they find an old celebrity photo and then link a few modern items of clothing and/or accessories that emulate the old celebrity photo. Their clever scheme implies that Tom Wolfe loves our notebooks, without his actual involvement, and without fear that the white-suited author of The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test and The Bonfire of the Vanities will be waiting on our doorstep with a baseball bat or court summons.
