Hey, gang. There’s a mini-contest over at Coudal, with Field Notes as a prize.

The buzz from our site launch (and the subsequent Boing Boing post) continues. All weekend, old and new friends emailed us ideas, (one friend showed up at my house with a stack of notebooks she liked) and the blog links continued to roll in, from Positive Space (with some other good sketchbook suggestions), Lambton Book Worm, Magpie and Cake, Not Yellow, Chicken, Sopheava de Lumiere, and 9rules’ “Design Clips.” Thankymuch!

Also, Doane Paper blogged us and ruled (get it? ruled!?) out a partnership, which is understandable. As the lady in the radiator says, “You’ve got your good thing, and I’ve got mine.”

Well, we’re live at last, and we’re getting some great feedback. Andy at Pencil Things had some very nice things to say, especially regarding our pencil (he’s an expert!) and our durability (washing machine!). He also suggested this “government pen” as a Field Notes product, and we’re really digging that idea.

We also got some friendly shout-outs from Poppytalk (leaking our special offer, ahem), Sticboy, Kaylow (we’ve “blown up,” in the parlance of our times), Vanja, and a few nice emails with some good input. Thanks, all! Your excitement is getting us even more excited, which in turn will… well, you get it. Thanks.
