Our new Neon Ice Pop Pack contains our Neon Ice Pop 3-Pack with three matching pencils (orange, yellow and green). The Field Notes feature 48 “summer sky” blue 3/16″ graph interior pages, and it’s all held together by our famous FN-09 “Band of Rubber.” They look great under a blacklight (as pictured), but you pretty much need to squint to look at them in regular light, too. If you’re a fan of conjoined food or just get excited about clerical errors, here’s the only known example of FOUR FIELD NOTES in a Ruled Paper 3-Pack. We should probably hang onto it, in case we ever came across a 2-Pack, but it deserves to go out into the wild with its non-mutant bretheren.

Spanning the Globe

Last Wednesday we offered a free FIELD NOTES Mixed 3-Pack to anyone ordering anything from Coudal.com. Response was positive, to say the very least, and we had a busy few days filling all the orders. A few cheapskates ordered six pencils for $3.49 to get their free 3-Pack, but hey, the deal said “anything,” and we stood by it. Ain’t nothing wrong with taking advantage of a good deal.

Here at FN HQ, we all buckled down and packed orders (in my case, forgetting the free 3-Pack half the time and having to re-pack orders). All the bulging kraft-paper envelopes were traveling to points all over the globe by Friday morning, and we’ve started to see the usual (and appreciated!) blog postings, emails, flickr photos, and such that accompany any FIELD NOTES mailing blitz. As just one example, Tom Zeigler of NYC sent the photo above of our “FN-09 General Purpose Band of Rubber” TOTALLY DOMINATING his rubber band ball.

As promised, today we’ve got some new product for you. FIELD NOTES 3-packs are shipping now with your choice of Graph, Ruled, or Plain paper, and if you can’t make up your mind, we’ve got a Mixed 3-Pack with one of each. We’ve even got new goodies to ship out with ‘em. It’s like the first day of school up in here.

Regarding BUTCHER ORANGE: 500 3-packs were printed. 300 of them are gone. We just sent out an email to subscribers about how to score the rest. Mailing-list members got first crack at preordering limited edition “Butcher Orange” FIELD NOTES yesterday afternoon. They sold out in 27 hours. (The response was so positive, it temporarily seized our shopping cart software, sorry about that!) If that’s not a good reason to join our mailing list (sign up to the left), I don’t know what is.

If you missed out, fret not, there’s a van full of new FIELD NOTES memo books on the way, with some variations requested by you, our beloved customers.
