Orange goes fast, new products next week

January 29th, 2009 by Bryan Bedell

Mailing-list members got first crack at preordering limited edition “Butcher Orange” FIELD NOTES yesterday afternoon. They sold out in 27 hours. (The response was so positive, it temporarily seized our shopping cart software, sorry about that!) If that’s not a good reason to join our mailing list (sign up to the left), I don’t know what is.

If you missed out, fret not, there’s a van full of new FIELD NOTES memo books on the way, with some variations requested by you, our beloved customers. There will be plenty of FIELD NOTES for everyone. We also held on to a few Butcher Orange 3-packs, we’ll let you know how you can score those when we unveil the new products next week. Stay tuned!

Art and Commerce

August 21st, 2008 by Bryan Bedell

Field Notes in Museums
What honor could be more prestigious than seeing your work on display in a museum? To be honest, curators aren’t lighting up our switchboard, but museum gift shop managers sure are, and we’re happy to stand balanced on that fine line between art and commerce. FIELD NOTES are on the way to Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego’s X Stores, the London Design Museum’s Shop, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles’ shops, and they’re already in stock at many other fine retailers worldwide. How about YOUR shop?

Special offer: Order 4 or more 3-packs before midnight Saturday, and we’ll pay for one of ‘em. Use coupon code MUSEUMQUALITY.

Independence Day Special Offer

July 3rd, 2008 by Bryan Bedell

While you’re lighting your Frost Bites and Flaming Cobras this weekend, thank the Chinese for never running out of creative ways to blow things up.

Wait, no, we’re supposed to be thanking America. Spread the love of FIELD NOTES, which just so happen to be made here in America, with our special offer: Drop four 3-packs of FIELD NOTES in the ol’ shopping cart, with coupon code FIRECRACKER and we’ll only charge you for three 3-packs. Offer valid through Sunday, July 6, 2008.

In the immortal words of Camper Van Beethoven:

Just be glad you live in America,
Just relax and be yourself.
‘Cause if you didn’t live here in America,
You’d probably live somewhere else.

(Shout out to Shelton Fireworks, where we would have totally bought hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks last Sunday afternoon, if they weren’t totally illegal in Illinois.)

Note: FIELD NOTES are not red/white/blue, we did that with computers.
