I am the Movie Camera
For our latest Quarterly Edition, “Utility,” we made a fun film that was shot from a first-person point-of-view. We tried a bunch of ways to accomplish that, and eventually came up with this contraption. Note: No FN Crew members were injured during the filming of this episode. Or, at least not seriously. Thanks to Matt for donating his hockey helmet.
DEERFIELD
A few friends on social media and via email pointed out that one of our Original Kraft memo books makes a quick appearance in this music video for the catchy song “Photograph”, from Cataldo’s new record due out in late April. Thanks for that.
What’s Next?
If you’re on The List you probably saw this in the mail that went out ahead of the Spring launch. (The mail list always gets first crack at new products. You can join The List at the top of the page) If not, we’ll share it here.
PS: You know that one thing that you wrote to us about? That thing that we should offer because you really, really need it? Yeah, well, we’re actually making it to be released this summer. Stay tuned.
You’re going to want the Summer release. Now would be an excellent time to sign up for a Year-Long Subscription starting with “Utility” and save some serious money too. Need more convincing? Let’s go to the spreadsheet.
Coming soon, a serious upgrade to one of our most popular products plus a new partnership that we’re sure you’re going to dig. Also, watch for news about some fun events we’re planning to host at the Field Notes Midwest HQ.
Something to Crow About
The Morning News Tournament of Books is set to get started soon, and we’re happy to be the presenting sponsor once again.
We need your help. We’ve made a small batch of special kraft Memo Books, with the ToB mascot on the cover and a checklist of the tournament books on the inside.
Buy one of these for $2 and we’ll take your $2 and match it with $2 of our own, and then donate $4 to 826 National, a seven-chapter network that provides under-resourced students, ages 6-18 with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills.
Looking Back
Revisiting the words of Thomas Jefferson and our film for the “Shenandoah” Edition. Surprisingly, we still have some of these duplexed-cover Memo Books still available.
