Located right in the heart of more than twenty American college towns, Graduate Hotels is inspired by and tailored to the schools and communities it serves. With a bordering-on-obsessive attention to local detail and history, the hotels are, like the college experience itself, youthful, optimistic, and fun.
Before we even met the Graduate crew, we admired the care that they put into the research and design of their spaces and communications. So, when they reached out to create a Field Notes edition to be offered to their guests, we were all in, right away. These 3-Packs are available at every Graduate Hotel and are also available for purchase online here, at Field Notes.
The photos were taken by Craig Shimala in Seattle and Berkeley. The covers are glossy on the exterior and matte inside, and the inside 48 pages are ruled, perfect for lecture notes and assignments, or tailgate, playlist, or road trip planning. Silver staples hold the whole package together.

Innards: Finch Paper Opaque Smooth 60#T “Bright White,” with a fine, 1-color application of “Double Knee Duck Canvas Light Brown” soy-based Toyo ink.

Cover and innards printed on a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 40" 6-color printing press.

Bound with a Heidelberg Stitchmaster ST 270 5-pocket saddle stitcher with cover feeder/scorer & Rima RS 10S in-line stacker, with appreciation to Samuel Slocum, George W. McGill, and William J. Brown, the “Founding Fathers of the Staple.”

Corners precisely rounded to a 3/8" (9.5mm) radius with a Challenge DCM double round-corner machine.
