We love looking at press sheets. It’s the stage of production that gives us our first real peek at the final product, before the sheets head off to to be trimmed and bound. And sometimes, like this time, we get lucky and the press sheet itself feels like a single unified designed object.

Ingredients Produce Design

The color and finish of the cover stock fits John Burgoyne’s delicate ink-and-watercolor illustrations perfectly. And it’s sturdiness shows the embossing dramatically.

Best of all, the palette of colors drawn from the illustrations for the back covers is even more harmonious and evident on the uncut sheets than it is on the backs of the finished Memo Books. The whole thing really, um, hangs together perfectly and will make a sweet addition to a kitchen, dining room, or a restaurant or gourmet shop wall.

We peeled off 100 copies from the “Harvest” Edition print run, and we are offering them for sale at $95 each. They ship carefully rolled in a sturdy tube and are ready for framing.
