A New Pocket Reference

Charters of Freedom
“We have lost sight of exactly how revolutionary the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were at the time of their creation, even though one sparked a literal revolution and the other could not have existed without one.” –From the introduction by Peter Sagal
Everyone could use a handy pocket reference containing what are collectively known as the “Charters of Freedom,” especially now… as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence.
The Founding Documents includes the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and all 27 amendments (the first ten, as you remember from civics class, are the “Bill of Rights”). Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s “Wait, Wait... Don’t Tell Me!” and the “Constitution USA” series for PBS, has provided a thoughtful and inspiring introduction to the collection.
The covers are printed on “Patriot Blue” 100# cover stock from Neenah and include a handy list of the “The Fifty States in Order of Statehood.” (If you’re like us you can probably name, and maybe put in order, the first thirteen and last two.) Inside you’ll find Domtar’s lovely, slightly off-white “Natural” 50# text stock. Just as these documents bind us together as citizens, white staples bind together these documents.
Call to Order
The Founding Documents books are available individually. If you’re ordering for a class, club, troop or any other group of patriots, you can save 25% on packs of ten. Place your order today. Or — if you prefer — you could just wait. We’ll probably do this again in 2076.
In Witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names,
The Field Notes Crew
