Friend of Field Notes, Gary Hustwit’s new documentary is now premiering across America and the world. Knowing Gary’s insightful, thoughtful approach to his Design Trilogy of Helvetica, Urbanized, and Objectified, we’re excited to see this long-in-the-works portrait of one of our all-time design heroes.

Field Notes will be presenting the Chicago premiere at The Music Box on Thursday, October 4th and we’d love to see you there. Tickets are available but the way it’s going, it’ll be sold out soon. So act fast. If you’re not in Chicago, check the schedule for a screening near you.

A Field Notes/Film First Joint

In conjunction with the film’s release, we’ve created a simple 3-Pack which owes it’s color scheme to a range of Dieter Ram’s iconic products, most notably the Braun T3 Transistor Radio from 1958, and includes Rams’s famous Ten Principles of Good Design on the cover.
