Introductions and Some Fun
We figured since we all have time on our hands these days, it would be fun to get to know each other a little better and also give away some cool stuff. Meet Noah.
“Hi, I’m Noah. I’m a relatively recent addition to the Field Notes crew. I first started collaborating with these lovely folks through the work of my other crew — One Design — on the Layer Tennis and Field Notes sites.”
“This past September I started working out of Field Notes HQ, helping to spread the word about these great little books and working on projects like the Vignette Web App for customizing the covers of the latest Quarterly Edition. Give it a shot, it’s fun!”
“I grew up in Evanston and besides a brief detour to Indiana have stuck around Chicago ever since. These days I spend most of my time corralling my very spirited daughter Sadie, experimenting with new technology for side projects, cooking and collaborating on the occasional web project. I’m looking forward to getting back into more international travel as my daughter gets older and well… things are not like they are today.”
“The Field Notes team is made up of wonderful people and I hope you’ve had fun getting to know the folks behind the books these past couple weeks. It’s been amazing to see how much these little memo books (or The Steno in my case) mean to lots of you, how they can be an essential tool in your creativity, your work, or simply bringing some much-needed clarity to daily life right now.”

We will send each winner a rare, out-of-print Field Notes Edition from our archives. Winners and Prizes
Yesterday’s random winners are Juan in California, Janet in Colorado, and Travis in Pennsylvania. They will each receive both the East and West 3-Packs of the “Coastal” Edition from the Spring of 2018 that features embossed holographic foil topographic maps of the Atlantic and Pacific shorelines. Congrats.
Today’s winners will receive 3-Packs of the “Shelterwood” Edition from the Spring of 2014, which features covers made from American Cherry wood, sliced ever-so-thin and bonded to a substrate of kraft paper for durability. We documented the whole process in a film shot in Spooner, Wisconsin.
