For our Winter 2023 “Heartland” Edition, Cape-Cod-based artist Dan McCarthy created a vivid panorama depicting sunrise, midday, and sunset on the farm. It’s featured in three pieces as the cover art of the memo books, but it seemed a shame not to make the artwork available in full, so we created this edition of 500 prints.

Printed at 150% of the book size, the fine detail and stochastic texture of McCarthy’s art is more clearly visible. The colors really shine in four-color-process soy inks on top-quality archival 100# Strathmore Premium cover stock.

Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and embossed with a Field Notes “Heartland” stamp overlapping the lower right corner of the image.

The print is 36"x12" with an image size of 32" x 8-1/4". It’ll look great in your farmhouse (or over the futon in your efficiency apartment) in an off-the-shelf frame: either unmatted in a 36"x12" frame, or in a 40"x16" frame with a 2" matte (as pictured above).
