Soon, we’ll post a detailed description of the process of sending a pair of “Three Missions” Apollo Crew Capsules up into near space over Iowa to capture a shot for our latest film. In the meantime, check out the moment the weather balloon popped on one of our flights. The best we can figure, the mess that happened here kept the parachute from deploying properly, and the whole rig free-fell to earth from approximately 100,000 feet. Amazingly it survived and eventually we recovered it. But that’s a whole ’nother story.
