From the Ashes
A few days ago, a pallet of boxes arrived at HQ, unannounced, from Portland. Unbeknownst to us, Field Notes co-founder Aaron Draplin had been quietly working for quite some time on a sequel to his 2016 “Dead Prints” Edition. Now they’re finished. Appropriately, the name of this Irregular Issue is “Deader Prints.”
Aaron has collected a few year’s worth of his prints, test sheets, proofs, and other oddball Draplin Design Company stuff, and had it all cut down into Memo Book covers for this series. He then added a heavy dose of “Fully Fuscia” foil to the outside covers and some “Glistening Green” metallic ink to the insides. Let’s just say there’s nothing subtle about these.
Each 3-Pack includes three of the many, many variations, all good and weird. This is a limited, one-time edition of 5000 3-Packs, hand-numbered and ready to go. We’re limiting purchases to two packs per order to allow lots of folks to grab some. Each order will be pulled randomly from the crazy assortment of variations and unfortunately we can’t take requests.
Last Words
It’s probably best to let Aaron sum things up. “Deader Prints. Dead as dead can be. Forgotten. Dog-eared. Typos. Smudges. Dingleberries. Crunches. Crinkles. Cracks. Every kind of ugly. But dammit, that big stack of dead stuff still had life in it, and let these books be proof. Dead things with new life? No, DEADER THINGS WITH NEW LIFE! Get weird with these. No, wait. Get weirder! We sure did.”
